Good morning, historians of East Asia!

Do you know The Oatmeal? Probably you’ve seen some of his drawings, but didn’t realize. Matthew Inman’s style is very recognizable. He’s just created a series to mark the ten-year anniversary, and the theme is creativity. I think these are worth spending some time with: although he writes about his artistic creativity in drawing, much of the ideas apply to your writing for college courses. For instance, check out the chapter “Erasers are wonderful” (Note: contains some “language” as people euphemistically call swear words here.)

The process is explorative and iterative.
